According to World Population Prospects 2019, by 2050, 1 in 6 people in the world will be over the age of 65, up from 1 in 11 in 2019 (Kasai, 2021). At present, due to several reasons including socioeconomic developments and increased life expectancy, the world's elderly population is increasingly growing (Miremadi et al., 2020).
